Seems like it was a week to forget for passengers of the Jubilee line! Read that tfl are refunding customers during the peak hours from today! Im sure they will sort things out, just hope passengers have the patience and understanding that it will sort itself out, no pain no gain as they say!

"Customers who exited Canary Wharf Tube, or Heron Quays, West India Quay or Canary Wharf DLR between 07:15 and 10:30 this morning will have their journey fare refunded."
So the people yesterday morning who were being advised by the onboard announcements to leave the DLR at Westferry, as no DLRs were going through to Canary Wharf (due to another failure) are being ignored?
And that's not even mentioning those who went to Poplar instead.

So the stations were closed : "The Jubilee line was suspended between London Bridge and Stratford for around two hours due to a faulty train in the North Greenwich area. The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) was also disrupted for around an hour due to a points problem at Shadwell." But passengers who exited the stations during this time will have their fares refunded : "Customers who exited Canary Wharf Tube, or Heron Quays, West India Quay or Canary Wharf DLR between 07:15 and 10:30 this morning will have their journey fare refunded." www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/newscentre/18177.aspxDoes anyone wonder how you can manage to exit from stations when the service is suspended .......

I still believe all the fuss over the refunds is nothing more than a PR exercise - seeing as you're entitled to a refund if you're delayed by more than 15 minutes anyway, you don't need TfL to say they'll refund people. I believe it was just said to calm those people down who were shouting about the Jubilee failing again.

I believe it was just said to calm those people down who were shouting about the Jubilee failing again. Surely the difference is that they will be (attempting) to automatically refund passengers who were using PAYG Oyster. If you apply for a refund after a 15min delay you have to get the refund voucher added to your PAYG balance at a station.

The problem with the refund system is that (in theory) you have to attempt to make the disrupted journey first.....
Three or so years back I used to do New Cross Gate - Canary Wharf via Canada Water which was a nice easy journey but if either ELL or Jub was disrupted I'd take a 53/453 NXG - Deptford Bridge and the DLR from Deptford Bridge to Canary Wharf which of course would cost extra. According to TfL I couldn't claim a refund if I knew the ELL/Jub were disrupted and went straight for my diversionary route.
I'm not sure if the same still applies.

Does anyone wonder how you can manage to exit from stations when the service is suspended ....... Simple, passengers who were not aware the service was suspended until they had got to the station, touched in and were actually on the platform, or for passengers who had touched in but got to the platform just as the service was suspended.
