Hi again. Does anyone know of of any picture of the above brake van in its last couple of years service? It was a 10 ton brake van built for the MET in 1868 and, according to the Snowdon book, wasn't withdrawn until 1962. Something that lasted 94 years in service just has to be modelled! The drawing is in the book but the only pictures I have of it are in MET livery.
I have a thing about engineers trains in general and brake vans in particular. I currently have five in my fleet with no two being the same design. This will be the sixth different one I have built. Those that badgered me into buying the Snowdon book will be gratified to know that two (B552 and B554) have been built from scratch using drawings from it! You know who you are........
