Studhead, I guess Quatermass and the Pit is a favourite movie.
Actually I don't know if there's any truth in it but I heard tell that when building the Central Line in the White City area there was some concern about ghosts, ghouls, spirits and whatever by the workforce. I heard it from an old hand on the railway some 30 years ago or more. I thought nothing of it really as the system is ripe for ghost stories etc until I saw the film and began to wonder because the route that many of us would take from Shepherd's Bush H&C to White City RTC or Wood Lane substation would be via Hobs Lane! Not that close to the Central line tunnels but not that far away either.

Hmmm... very very impressive!
How about the full frontage of Chalk Farm as the next challenge? ;D
Seriously, that is bloody brilliant. And I used to make my *own* cars, disregarding the instructions completely!

Your usual superb work. Loved the Hobbs End! Fist thing I thought of too were Martians! I have both the movie version (1967 - titled "Five Million Miles to Earth" in the USA) and the BBC serial version (1958-59) of that story. [First time I saw the scene with the crazed man jerking down the road with the pavers jumping up and down, I was creeped out!] How 'bout a Lego version of the spacecraft in the station? {End of off-topic.}

Thanks all. Unfortunately the Lego company don't make locusts from outer space. It might have to be a few of these fellows lurking in the tunnels instead: Whilst I was building this model I was going to name it King William Street but changed my mind at the last moment as I thought Hobbs End was much more fun and mysterious.
