Well that's a bit of a surprise just 8 months on from WTT65. Thank you kindly for the advice. Is anyone able to advise the principal changes incorporated into this new WTT?

AIUI WTT66 is a sub-version of WTT65 for the duration of 92 stock refurbishment program.

Removal of the two hot spare trains. If that's the case and the only change, then why can't those few alterations be covered by a TTN and a note in the TC? Seems more than a bit wasteful to needlessly reprint a WTT in these straitened times.

Seems more than a bit wasteful to needlessly reprint a WTT in these straitened times. New Duty schedules and rotas will be issued after feed back by the train operators. Leytonstone has 7 more running duties, Hainault 3 less running dutes, Loughton 4 less running duties, plus other changes on number of rota positions at the east end depots. Minor changes to duties at West Ruislip and White City depots. The next new timetable may be in 2013 after the Olympics.

There'll be a catalouge of TTNs for the olympics then it seems.

Re - "AIUI WTT66 is a sub-version of WTT65 for the duration of 92 stock refurbishment program".
Don't get too excited about the work being done to the 1992 Stock. The programme is more of a "refresh" than a refurbishment and has been scaled down from what would have been desirable. Currently expected will be new saloon windows, new seating moquette, revised priority seating logos and a number of new body end panels.
The prototype unit is 91183 but doesn't have the new moquette or priority seating logos - yet.
Admins - please move this post to a new one if you wish, if you think it is irrelevant here.

Are you referring to Loughton and east? I've read about most of the Epping services in those days mainly consisting of shuttles (ex-Loughton and ex-Woodford?)

The service at the east end of the line did have shuttles (Loughton - Epping) from when the Epping extension opened in September 1949. The intervals of the shuttles matched the 'main line' service, e.g. a 40-min shuttle would have a 40-min through Epping service. The rest of the main (10 min) service would reverse east to west at Debden. Other intervals, according to the time of the day and service provided was also every 36 or 48 minutes.
The shuttles operated only in off-peak periods and were gradually eliminated into the 1950s.
The shuttles were withdrawn MF, and Sats afternoon and evening from WTT No.11 (3/11/52).
The remaining shuttles (Sats between morning and midday peaks and Sundays) survived until the Ongar branch was electrified 18/11/57, when Epping - Ongar became the shuttle.
When the shuttles were withdrawn, the through service to Epping was doubled, e.g. 10 mins Debden, 20 Epping, 12/24, and 9/18, and so on.
The Epping service was improved from 1963, first on Sundays, soon after on weekdays, eliminating off-peak Debden reversers.

Leytonstone is getting 11 additional roster position, 4 from Hainault, 7 from Loughton, which makes me happy as it means that I’m on the roster again having dropped back into the pool when TT65 came in last year.
I was at Loughton this morning talking to one of the early turns; they have one dead early spare, 04:45, with the next spare booking on after 08:00 which means that the dead early spare will be covering about ten running turns and they can only finish half of them.
Expect there will be a lots of phone calls to Leytonstone and Hainault asking to borrow their spares but then what’s new?
