For those of you who modelling the Underground, specifically the sub surface lines this might be of interest to you. The chassis will be available in scale 57ft and 64ft lengths but potentially could be potentially shortened further. I should be getting one of these shortly and will post photos when have it. I have seen one running and was very impressed with it. www.replicarailways.co.uk/die-cast-chassisXerces Fobe

I don't really think these will be appropriate for SSL trains. The main reason is cutting the chasis down and then rejoining it. The bogies are too long and the ride height and wheels will be wrong. Now for class 501s they may well do the trick

Now for class 501s they may well do the trick The next Class 501 I build will be in Blue livery with half yellow fronts the cabs of which you saw last Saturday metman and this will be fitted with the new Replica chassis Talking to Godfrey from Replica last Saturday the has is made up of separate components so a cut and shut might not not be too difficult and then fit smaller diameter wheels however the wheelbase length could be an issue. Assuming that you did collect it, is it any good? Hi Glyn I did it is really good runs very smoothly and quiet. Well constructed with little screws holding the chassis components together (good old traditional engineering) If you DCC it you have to start with a slightly higher starting voltage (10) using a Bachmann chip not an issue at all. It comes with very detailed booklet is designed to make fitting DCC controlled lights easy - Well worth waiting for - mine will be a the chassis for my forthcoming M68000M Motor Luggage Van ( it's Liverpool - Southport years) Xerces Fobe
