Hi,
I've been around London for the last few days and whilst travelling in on the Met one morning I saw a sign that raised my curiosty.
It was on the Dollis Hill side of Willesden Green heading in the Southbound direction. Its position was between the Jubilee Line and the turnback siding and it was at the exit end of the turnback siding.
The sign itself was a white circle with a black triangle in it (I think). Sorry if there has been a previous thread on this, but I thought I'd write it down whilst it was still fresh in my mind.
Any ideas what it is?

It is to do with Engineering Trains (or other stock) and Speed Restrictions - cant recall exactly - I think it is end of Speed Restriction, once train is fully past marker.

It is an End of Speed Restriction for engineer's trains - the corresponding sign is a white circle, smaller in size than the standard speed limit sign but with the same colouring, that contains the word "Eng" and the speed that the train must travel at.
You will almost always find them at bridges that have not been strengthened sufficiently to allow for higher speeds - several bridges on the Ealing & Shepherd's Bush Railway between North Acton and the site of Wood Lane Junction had engineer's train speeds of 18mph over several road underbridges before the track was relaid. Now the engineer's train speeds are 20mph!
