Hi all,
Yesterday there were engineering works with no service Aldgate East to Barking Westbound and Aldgate East to Upney Eastbound. How did they manage this? Did Eastbound trains run Upminster to Barking, then pop out in a vortex at Upney? Or was something going on meaning trains could run, but not in passenger service, between Barking and Upney?
Thanks

Westbound trains run in service Upminster to Barking pfm6.
Now to reach the EB line they must reverse back into the sidings, a non-passenger move.
After a short while they then continue into Upney EB platform and resume service to Upminster.

Thought it might have been something like that.
Thanks

Are the PEW on the eastern end due to finish around end of May? They seem to peter out then according to TFL website. I want my weekend service back, even if only as far as West Ham or Mile End.
