Poster at Watford and indeed those stations served by Watford services. However a couple of cancellations do still exist for Uxbridge branch customers.
The trains that are do not cause too much grief for those customers, as the gaps are pretty minimal. So, yes it is pretty much business as normal for the Met line.

I somehow waited over 30 minutes for a Chesham train at Finchley Road earlier. I gave up when I saw an S stock come in, got that to moor park and by the time it got to moor park the Chesham was only 7 minutes away.

I can't remember the exact time, but it was yesterday around 16:00, I got off an Amersham at Finchley Road to wait for a Chesham, but no Chesham or Amersham turned up and there was a 14 minute gap in the service with no trains between two Uxbridges (surprising at peak time!) I do remember going past Rickmansworth on the way home when I eventually got a Chesham and seeing a train in Ricky sidings, unusual at peak times, so could this have been a cancelled Chesham train?

I have looked into the period of time from around 1600 at Finchley Road and have your answer(s). The Chesham train you would have been waiting for was Train 460, 1607 departure from Finchley Road to Chesham. This train was cancelled from Neasden depot to Baker Street, and subsequently from Baker Street to Wembley Park due to problems within the depot. It re-entered service at 1614 at Wembley Park. This one is a classic case of always taking the first train and changing where necessary - especially at somewhere like Finchley Road. If it's not being shown on the board, it more than likely has not left or is not predicted to leave Baker Street. There was a Watford at 1601 and an Uxbridge at 1604 which would have both enabled connection into the Chesham at Harrow. Of course if you arrived after 1604 then the following applies. It has to be admitted that the next Watford service (Train 451 which you boarded) was running late due to an earlier issue at Harrow southbound. This may have provided another possible connection, departing Finchley Road at 1609, but was running around 8 late. In the end, you travelled on this train and changed at Moor Park for what was now the following Chesham service. Sorry about that. Not ideal and you unfortunately got stuck between 2 separate events that conspired to delay your journey by half an hour or so. The train in Ricky sidings was a spare train that has been kept in there each day for the last few weeks, as part of our ongoing "tweaks" to the service. It won't be there next week.

Thanks for letting me know. It wasn't a problem, I wasn't complaining, I was just surprised that no delays were being advertised at the time!

Thanks for letting me know. It wasn't a problem, I wasn't complaining, I was just surprised that no delays were being advertised at the time! Unfortunately, because it was just 1 Chesham service starting at a different location, and just 1 Watford service running late, no delays message (such as minor delays etc.) would be put out. That's the politics machine I'm afraid. Local announcements should have been put out though. But then the delays message is a whole other thread.
