For those interested ON THE BEAT was filmed on the W&C: see 41 secs in.
However, the platform chap is wearing an Underground uniform: would that have been correct for the time (circa 1962) or was it a studio shot? It seems to have been the latter (with Bank station for the live-action):
The opening sequence (dream one in the film) was shot at the Slough Trading Estate, when they still had steam locos on the Slough Estates Railway.

No, the line was under BR ownership at the time. It doesn't sound right.

BOTH stations are Bank! Although he leaves from one platform and arrives at the other, the train must have turned round!
