It could be an error, on the other hand it may not be. I am not in possession of info on Central Line signalling but it may be that signalling control of Leytonstone to Woodford is cabled from or via Hainault. I haven't worked on Central line signalling since it was upgraded 20 years ago, I presume that Leytonstone and Woodford signal cabins are long gone and signalling in that area is controlled from Wood Lane these days.

It could be an error, on the other hand it may not be. I had a look at online departure boards for Gants Hill and Hainault during that incident and that's where suspension was, not via Snaresbrook.

What had occured was that the outer rail via Hainault was affected and the eb service ran from Leytonstone via Hainault and then as a wb service onward via Chigwell and Woodford to Leytonstone. The information chappy obviously not aware of the ins and outs of the Central line service pattern. Therefore when the SDM has advised that the wb Woodford - Leytonstone via Hainault service was suspended he has assumed it to be the direct service after all who would travel via the loop. ;D
