Thought I'd list a few changes I've noticed recently:
The refurbishment of the footbridge at Honor Oak Park seems well underway.
General refurbishment of othe LO stations south of (and including) New Cross Gate is proceding with repainted lamposts and lots of coffin sized holes in the ground. I assume this is either foundations for new signage or seats. There's no sign currently of the new PIS.
Recently I've noticed at least one train now announcing "This is coach number 1 of 4" in a Joanna Lumley esque voice - very much like the Southern Electrostars.
Unrelated to LO but at London Bridge refurbishment the hoardings over the platform ends (concorse) are coming down showing that demolition over the barrier line is nearing completion.

But the automated PA at New Cross Gate still doesn't do 'London Overground'.....
e.g.
"The next train to arrive at platform 1 is the 13:04 _______ West Croydon"

Ah yes, Julie Berry's classic coach number announcement... I've heard it twice so far while using the ELL. Seems to be a rare find on the 378s, or is it?
