......the first of the A62s
I find the A62 stock an interesting crowd. The class itself though always seems a bit different. There is a definate change to the Reavell compressor, but there are loads of differences between the trains. Some do not have ventilators on the trailer ends like the A60s and some do! Some have beading around the destination blind, but the earlier ones don't. What was the reasons for these changes during the build?
Now on to 5124. This is the first A62 and it looks like someone has tried to turn 6124 into a deicing car and then thought better of it. There is a circular panel cut out where the blue light would go. What this just a mistake by engineers?
Finally, why was the front vents (on all A stock) on the cab domes blocked up on refurb?

The only difference between A60s and A62s that I recall that in its original state, the former used red as the primary accent color on panelling, seat padding, etc. The A62s by comparison used gray in a similar role.
