www.flickr.com/photos/routemaster/2264704553/in/set-72157615320589371/It's been over five years since our last visit from the Piccadilly line up here at West Ruislip. This weekend sees the return of a better looking train, (you mean a train comes without selotape?) with the engineering works we see a visitor. Last time this happened as a result of the 7th July bombings, where trains were sent to us our wash facilities.

I didn't see a 73 in the depot last week, where was it stabled? It's quite noticeably sitting by itself on 37E road, was going to take a picture until I realised I'd left my camera in the car.

Steam on the Met used Ricky sidings quite a few times for displays of rolling stock, it surely must have had a very good publicity value. Not sure if there was ever a 92ts up there though... I remember seeing on various occasions 60, 62, 73, and 96 tube stocks though...
Perhaps its something that could be brought back in the future now things are simpler to organise.

Couldn't tell you where it was stabled, if indeed it was! I saw details of the transfer path from Uxbridge platform to Ruislip Depot, Fri 12th Nov, and the accompanying request for late traction current requirements (vice versa for the Monday morning, 15th Nov). From memory it was 01.50 ex UXB pfm 1, as it had to wait for the last engineers train to come thro' Ruislip Siding at 01.53 I normally get to hear if such moves encounterd any issues or didn't happen, and have heard nothing this week. That said, not being there on the night or at Ruilsip Depot last weekend I can't confirm that it definately went ahead !

Indeed, and I'd like to see it very much; especially before the Old Guard is retired and... Reduced to a pile of scrap metal...
