Is there any footage of R or CO/CP stock in full flight with sound? Even better footage from on board one. Just want to relive some memories of childhood trips along my favourite line.

The excellent dvd double pack 'All change at Edgeware Road' is what you need. One disc is a retrospective of the Q stock while the other gives a history of O and P stock. The programmes are pure archive complete with archive sound. Both programmes follow the story right through to the withdrawal of the last of the R stock. If you buy it through the LT museum shop then the proceeds will go to a worthy cause. I was doubtful about the price as it ain't cheap but it is worth every single penny!

My question is how did the Metadyne stock get into the Bakerloo northbound platform @ Finchley Rd after leaving Baker St on the Metropolitan?

Was I on that Tour? I am sure I wasn't but can't find the date! The farewell CO/CP Stock Tour had a headboard at each end and I bought one, then later donated it to LURS.
Oh, the train would have used the crossover underneath the station at Finchley Road from Met to Bakerloo south of the B'loo platform. This was of course used by the C Stock trains that ran on the line to Neasden first thing and last thing as the B'loo Line started up later and finished earlier than the Met.

My question is how did the Metadyne stock get into the Bakerloo northbound platform @ Finchley Rd after leaving Baker St on the Metropolitan? That tour must have been in 1977 because the Bakerloo was still running to Stanmore and there were a few 72mk2s there. I don't know how the train got into the Northbound Bakerloo platform at Finchley Road - it just appears to come out of the tunnel!! Btw, this is no longer Metadyne stock.

As I said, the crossover was from the NB Met to the NB Bakerloo under the road bridge/station building and was just about visible if you stood at the south end of the NB platforms and peered in to the stygian gloom. That meant that trains would appear out of the NB Bakerloo tunnel.

There is also an older VHS video 'All Change At Earls Court' with plenty of footage of CO/CP stocks, well worth a look. I guess it's deleted now (unless it ever made it onto DVD) but I suppose the odd copy might turn up on Ebay every now and then. I always wondered if a companion was ever made featuring the R stock? Or does the DVD mentioned above use the same footage as the CO/CP video with further material added?

I would guess that the DVD contains the video program in full but also has the extra program on the Q stock added. R stock is mentioned in both programs. Altogether there is nearly an hour and a half of pure nostalgia. A I said above, worth every penny!

What I miss is the whine of the R stock MG's!
