Is it me or is the DLR track or trains worn out to the extent it is actually uncomfortable to sit on the things?
Pretty sure most of the track on the straights has never been changed since it opened.
It actually feels like the trains are trying to come off the track - even on the way down to Bank now too.

When I went on it last a month or 2 back I did think it s certainly much more uncomfortable than it used to be I don't know if its lack of investment or its forgotten about or if it was just in my head.When I first went on it and it was nice shiny and newish and other trains were older and less comfy.Now the dlr isn't the cutting edge it was and there's comfy new trains IE London overground & national rail aswell as the tube (s and 09 stocks) so maybe we are just spoilt nowadays.

I have no real basis for comparison, having not used it regularly until recently, but there is certainly a lot of rough riding about.

It actually feels like the trains are trying to come off the track - even on the way down to Bank now too. DLR has had issues with wheel profile for many years now. The problem is down to the "conicity" of the wheels, that is the amount of tapering on the wheelset. A flat wheel will ride well on straight track, whilst a graded wheel rides well on tight curves. As any railway has combinations of both, the final design is a compromise between the two. Getting a suitable compromise is incredibly difficult to achieve.
