I was thinking more the northern, piccadilly, jubilee rather than the drain. It's hardly a strenuous journey between Waterloo and Bank without the drain anyway

I was thinking more the northern, Here are some examples from the not-so-distant past: Northern LineNorthern Line TTN 1/99: "New Tube Approaching", Engineering Work between Moorgate and Kennington. Commencing 5th July 1999. Service could be suspended between Moorgate and Kennington on and day of the week with RRBS 133E between Moorgate and Oval calling at all intermediate stations. Bakerloo LineBakerloo Line WTT 19 startiing 10th November 1996 - incorporating special arrangements for engineering work between Piccadilly Circus and Elephant and Castle. The Bakerloo service was suspended completely south of Piccadilly Circus with T/Ops stepping back two trains. I could probably find a Picc, example but would have to go back to the 1932 extensions. Unfortunately at this remove I can't be sure when the shortened services came to an end and the normal services resumed.

I was thinking more the northern, piccadilly, jubilee rather than the drain. It's hardly a strenuous journey between Waterloo and Bank without the drain anyway It seemed pretty bad during the five-month shut-down, even though it was during the quieter summer months. I decided to walk instead, and have done so ever since (well, until the arrival of the Boris Bikes provided an even better alternative)
