So a potential chance to photograph the three surface stocks together then? Wouldn't have thought thats a common sight!

You could get a lucky shot around Aldgate too, for instance if standing in the westbound District running track with a Liverpool Street circle and a Met in the bay, and an eastbound District passing by (or - some years ago - an ELL transfer accepting a Whitechapel stick, I believe Aldgate could work). Or sending an A60 onto the Central at Ruislip and take the picture at Mile End

I don't think there'd be much A stock left after a trip through the Central Line's pipe!

Well I see that effective 11/11/2010 4-car A Stock units are now 'approved' to operate between Aldgate East and Upminster depot for maintenance, travelling at line/stock speed and through platforms at caution speed. The restriction on single-ended units operating outside depot limits are also lifted in this case. Somebody obviously wants them up there! Unfortunately for photography, all moves are likely to be in the early hours.

An A stock farewell is looking a little more likely with just a couple more little bits to go..........

Yes the compliance certificate for the 4-cars, with the official compliance certificate for single-ended 4-cars following the next day. Both a 4-car and a single-ended unit have done the move, but it's nice to have it officially certified now ;D

The wording of the certificate - line speed between stations and slow through platforms, would not neccesarilly preclude a farewell tour in traffic hours at least as far as Barking maybe and should not delay following trains? Dream-on!

I'm in no position to know, but given that the 09 stock disposals are being handled from Acton and a comment in the "the end is nigh" thread implying the trial scrapping unit left from Neasden, I'm not going to place any money on them leaving from Upminster.
