I saw a photo on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/beechwoodphotography/5037469415/) Does anyone know which unit it was, I heard that it was refurbed (in the end), why was it withdrawn in the 80's?
Any suggestions? Thanks

If it was repaired and refurbed, it would be either 5008 (ex-5034)-6008-6009-5009 (now 5234 etc.), or 5036-6116-6037-5037 (now 5116 etc.). However, at this time there were some other stored cars, that were scrapped in 1994.

Back in January 1988 I captured an IMAGE of an 8 car A stock passing Neasden depot at speed... however to the far right there was an old A stock DM (original smaller front light configuration) in an elevated positioned between the depot and the A406 (North Circular Road). I know that I'm talking almost 23 years since (I was just 15 when I captured the image), but does anyone know what car it was  |
