The direct enquiries website suggests the only step free route for interchanging between the Jubilee and Northern Lines at London Bridge a walk along the streets between the Tooley Street and Borough High Street entrances. That can't be right can it?

Tfl claim:
You need to make a 410m journey via street and lifts to change lines.
Sounds like the website might have it on the nail.

If all else fails, follow the signs for Tooley Street exit, and you'll get in the ticket hall. (Is it Tooley Street, I think it is)
But there is no need to go on street level, I'm sure there is a jubbly-northern or northern-jubbly corridor.
Direct enquires must have it wrong...

Direct Enquiries knows about the interchange corridor, but it's accessible only by steps apparently.

That can't be right can it? There are no lifts to the interchange corridor (Green Park style) - presumably somebody had to make a cost benefit decision over this (taking into account the physical contraints of the site) when the JLE was built. The Northern Line has lift access to Borough High Street ticket hall level, where there is another lift to the street level (IIRC) after passing through the gate line. I've never used the Jubillee line lifts, but there is no lift access to that line from the BHS entrance.

There are three lifts at London Bridge, curiously numbered 2, 3 and 4. Number 2 goes from the Jubilee platforms to the main ticket hall. Number 3 goes from the Borough High St ticket hall to street level. Number 4 goes from the Northern platforms to Borough High Street.
So yes, no step free between the lines which seems odd for an 11 year old station [Jubilee side]. If the person can walk a very short distance, the easiest way to interchange is to use the escalators eg use the up escalator on the Jubilee side up to BHS, then down to the Northern escalator, although there is a short flight of steps just before the Northern line.

Tfl claim: You need to make a 410m journey via street and lifts to change lines. . Is that allowed as an OSI?
