Does anyone know of archive movies with sound showing British condensing locomotives working in condensing mode? I guess the likely contender would be on the Widened Lines or from Farringdon to Blackfriars.
The big South African Railways condensing locos aren't really what I am after - far too clever and sophisticated!

Er.... Haven't we done something like this recently [or was it PMs between us]? For some reason, I'm remembering 'snap, crackle and pop'.

But it was watching the silent footage of Kings Cross and the Widened lines with the condensing tank locos ("City Widened Lines in the 50s" in this site) that has stirred me up again. It is a pretty long shot, but maybe, just maybe some enthusiastic amateur rich enough to have owned a sound on film camera (even 8mm film was available with mag stripe) in the 50s or 60s filmed there too.
