Did a booking office stint at Barbican in 1990. I seem to remember the first train on a Sunday non-stopped Barbican. When did this practice cease - or does it still occur?

you mean you were there ready to sell tickets before the first train? Is this the right section for the question?

I'm fairly sure it stopped after 28/10/91. 230 was the 0640 staff from Hammersmith to Aldgate East, passenger to Whitechapel at 0719½ and reverse. 211 was 0651½ off Hammersmith Ety - conveys Train Operators Baker St. - Farringdon/Moorgate, arrived Aldgate 0718½ and formed the 0723 Staff to Liverpool St. passenger thereafter and became an Inner Rail Circle. you mean you were there ready to sell tickets before the first train? Is this the right section for the question? ;D ;D

I was always an early bird. I'm one of those weird people embarrassed to be late.

The first train of the day (Monday-Saturday) runs non-stop Hammersmith-Farringdon, and the last train runs non-stop King's Cross-Edgware Road.
It's been that way for around a decade now. Or is this not quite what you were on about. I don't recall trains missing out Barbican in the same way they miss out Cannon Street etc.

No they are empty "staff" trains, although generally the only staff on them is the train operator.
