Does anyone know of any and/or what plans are in the pipeline to mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Metropolitan Railway in 2013?

Does anyone know of any and/or what plans are in the pipeline to mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Metropolitan Railway in 2013? The good news is "something" is being planned. The bad is that I doubt they'll be an all-line rolling stock parade in Neasden depot (even if they took some of the security fencing on Kloyndyke to faciliate this).

I'd love to see the line up again. Sarah with the 3 remaining dreadnoughts, an A stock, the 1962 stock train, L44(no1) and of course the 1938 stock!

Let's hope that what is being planned is worthy of the historic nature of the occasion and not just a set of commemorative vinyls stuck on the side of a set of S stock! One would hope that Quainton Road, the KWVR, the Spa Valley railway and the Bluebell Railway have already been consulted!

An S Stock and 2009TS side-by-side would be good too, even if the Tube Stock cars had to be trailered-in and banned from running under their own power. It has happened at the factory, but otherwise will never occur in London. Those of us too young to see the 1963 Celebrations will never get another chance to experience anything like this. Despite ToT's departure (and rolling stock external appearance already seems to be deteriorating), I hope there's still enough drive at the top to do things properly, though the non-event of LT's 60th Anniversary in 1993 does not auger well for the future. Maybe it will just be a vinyl sticker on an S Stock? (Carefully placed over the acid-etched graffiti of course.)
