Having seen posts about non-stop Specials in another thread, I am wondering if there would be a market for non-stop (Amersham-Baker Street) enthusiasts specials on a Sunday approximately one month after the stock's disappearance from passenger service. The date of said disappearance would obviously be known to senior Met management long in advance, and they could ensure the track itself was in tip-top shape and available for a clear non-stop run. The month long gap between the A60's final use in normal passenger service and the Sunday Special gives A60-devotees long enough to miss them and yearn for just one more ride

i will re visit the thread after the Olympic games.. because the A60' S ARE VERY SAFE TILL THEN...

I doubt it. Even if the S-stock isn't fully introduced (which of course it will) the A-stock won't be running after the Olympics. The past week or two has shown that we'll be lucky to keep them going until after Christmas this year.
I too will revisit this thread...
