Is there a speed restriction on the Uxbridge branch around the West Ruislip Depot exit?
If so, is there any reason for it?
I think there are as there are lots of luminous yellow signs appeared, one of which says T when the trains seem to get faster... what does the 'T' mean?
Thanks Colin

T means revert to normal line speed, which usually is 35 or 45 depending on the location. Not sure what it is on the Uxbridge branch though.

T boards mean that the temporary speed restriction has ended, and the driver may commence running at line speed.
I think it has something to do with subsidence. Is it just around the area where the West Ruislip branch passes over?

Not 100% sure where it begins, will try and pay more attention tonight... I do know it ends just past where the Ruislip Siding / West Ruislip Depot bit which is before Ickenham tube station.
I think it's only appeared recently after they did drainage works one weekend from Ickenham - Rayners Lane (about 3 weeks ago?) but I think it's even more recent than that.

The T stands for Terminates, and is the location that a Temporary Speed Restriction (TSR) ends. I'm not sure how LU signs the start of a TSR, NR use the speed of the TSR.

They normally start in my experience with the speed restriction on two sloping ramps between the track. The driver is alerted by a pair of flashing amber lights slightly before the SR.
