Was at Kennington, Bank branch southbound yesterday. Walk onto the platform and the way out sign is waving around! Are there any other signs seeing this lack of maintenance?

They are designed that way they are on poles that are attached to hinge like thing hence the swinging

I am fairly sure that this is perfectly normal in stations that have a strong wind draft down the tunnels. If you look at the sign supports, they have hinges that allow it to swing, twist and generally go with the flow of the wind.
Trying to keep a rigid but open structure still in windy conditions puts it under stress and makes it more prone to break and fall apart then if it is designed to move about.
Another example is rollercoasters which are designed to rock and move with the wind, which is disconcerting when you are on it, but far safer and puts less stress on the structure then trying to battle against the wind.

I agree it is alarming when you see them twist and bash around! But in the whole time I've been a tube fan I've never heard of one falling. (Doesn't mean to say it hasn't happened, though; but I trust wholeheartedly in the station and maintenance staff to spot and rectify something like that PDQ if it were to put passengers at any risk.)
PS welcome Lew1!

PS welcome Lew1! Tiles have fallen off in the past, but I've not personally heard of signs falling - given that they usually have the two supports, presumably even if one came loose the other would hold it long enough for the area to be cleared of people and roped off or, if necessary, the platform closed down, until the fault was rectified.

You are Quiet right Undergroundgal
At my Station a few months back a whole section of one wall of tiles just came loose and fell off of the wall.
As luck would have it I was doing a Station Check at the time and noticed the tiles were coming loose and moved people away a train came in people got on and as it was pulling out the lot came off the wall.

I never heard of a sign falling, the biggest danger would be falling glass from a sign rather than the sign itself dropping to the platform. You wouldn't believe just how heavy the old describers are and how heavy the glass in them is. I recall a few years ago the one on the Westbound Picc at Acton Town (large single smoked glass on each side) being vandalised, it had a crack down the centre and it was taped up temporarily. The glass had to be ordered as I recall and I was given the task of changing it on a Friday night with a couple of fitters. We erected tower scaffolding but could still only comfortably just reach the top of the sign. As we began to work on it the cracked glass fell out in two large lumps, one of which we managed to grab but the other hit the working platform and shattered into assorted size pieces. Not something that anyone would want to be standing beneath!
