Does anyone know why LO DMIs were not installed at New Cross Gate (southbound) and New Cross? When the ELL re-opened all those months ago I presumed this was something that would be sorted out in due course - but here we are in September and (to my knowledge as I write) those old deactivated LU DMIs are still in place and there's no sign of any new DMIS. This does seem rather odd. Does anybody know what the casue of this anomalous situation is?

I suspect they'll be installed when LOROL becomes responsible for DOI's and station announcements next year at NXG. Currently Southern provide this service from East Croydon for the stations from Brockley to West Croydon/Crystal Palace and also at Platform 5 at New Cross Gate for northbound services.
This doesn't explain why New Cross (South Eastern) can't have a DOI already when this wasn't an issue under LUL operated services from there.

There wasn't even an LO timetable on the platform at New Cross the last time I looked.
In fact, when Southeastern recently reprinted its route maps that go in trains - it didn't even include the Overground interchange at New Cross.

On the plus side, we do now have audio announcements on platform 1 at New Cross Gate.
On the minus side, just don't try and plan a journey on the National Rail network.... A tube map displayed outside the station, an LO service status guide and three tiny zonal maps on the ticket machines in the ticket hall, zilch on P5. I've not checked P1.

At New Cross Gate, the old East London line indicator is still place on platform 1, I wonder if it still works?

Nor do Overground services appear on the CRT TV displays hung in the ticket office, visible as you enter toward the ticket barriers. Last time I used NXG southbound, I saw a flatscreen TV-type display showing all departures (from memory, I think including Southern as well as LO services) standing on a tripod on the southbound LO platform, right outside the little hut on said platform. It's obviously an interim solution for southbound passengers.

Platform 2 still has the DOI that only shows Southern departures from that platform.

Wouldn't LU be interested in redeploying them elsewhere? Failing that, is it technically not possible to switch them back on and have them display LO train info?

LO's are NR spec.

That would still be better than having no information at all, surely?
