Came across some excellent colour slide scans of the Underground in the 1960s. I wonder if the originator of them is a member here? Anyway here is the link (to another forum though, sorry mods!! ) all-model-railroading.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10892It all seems so atmospheric compared to now, the imfamous picture CSLR used as an exit to the Great Christmas quiz of 0x being another example. Born in the wrong decade I recon...

There were some unconnected issues that resulted in no more photos being posted - I will however contact the gent concerned to see if he intends to proceed with posting more photographs

thanks for the link. I have never been on the Standard Stock and now unfortunatelly will never happen. I have been on the 38 stock, abeit in (in my opinion) buchered IOW formation.
Wish I had a time machine, would love to have travelled on some of these wonderful and ground breaking machines.

It may be a tad expensive but I can vouch for the fact that a trip on the LT Museums 1938 stock is worth every penny! It even smells right!
