No proper send off now.. All gone :-( Why did they not do it - they bothered to advetise the times, then didn't bother with it. Was it really that difficult to run a 313 with a headboard on a normal diagram? It's not as if they had to get special drivers in or anything.

Circumstances beyond Lorol's control I believe..

LOROL merely stated that the unit (123 I suppose) was required at Wolverton.

I was on a 313 today - boarded a Moorgate-Hertford North FCC service at Highbury & Islington. Not quite the same due to the higher headrests on FCC stock. The lack of a weekend service has always annoyed me as it means a more convoluted journey.

They got a send off. The last ride I took from Richmond was a 313.

Can only confirm that 313123 was on the 18.42 from Willesden to Clapham then the 19.06 back to Willesden. The it went to the Tmd.. I know that as I drove it.. Don't know about 14th, 15th or 16th but I can ask around..

I think you must have had the honour of driving the last 313 onto the TMD. As LOROL got their first 4-car 378s in traffic on the 14th as promised(!) I doubt another 313 turned a wheel in LOROL service after that.

I mean the first 4-car 378s on the NLL/WLL before anyone comments!

Good shots and video showing the interior refurbishment that Southern has carried out to the ex Silverlink/LOROL 313s:

No way are they silverlinks old 313's! What ever happened to the pizza scented moquette and the floors coated in 10+ years worth of grime Im impressed, theyr'e unrecogniseable from what they used to be like.

If LO had done a total makeover to that degree, complete with LO livery, half of the passengers would have thought they were new trains

This looks similar to what MerseyRail did with its 507/508s a few years back. Everything was ripped out and a significant number of 'normal' people thought they were brand new trains. They still go "ting ting" when the Guard gives the Right Away though.

What a stunning transformation!
However, it does beg the question, when they will be expected to run until? Surely they can't have a long life ahead of them..?

Why couldn't they make the seats and the widows match?

I feel more fortunate by the day for having as yet exclusively travelled on Class 378s equipped with seats
