Hi Guys, just wondering if any other members/visitors have an interview for PSA position on the 6th Sept. Anybody able to provide me with any further information, do's/don'ts etc. Many thanks! ;D

I work on the tube, not the DLR, but I would imagine its fairly similar to a LU station assistant's interview. Questions about how you give customer service. Dealing with awkward customers, safety awareness etc.
How did you become aware of the vacancy? I have never seen DLR jobs advertised. Have you sat aptitude tests?

I had an interview about 15 years ago... was asked to explain what I'd do in three particular circumstances: 1) Passenger without ticket, refusing to pay and starting to get aggressive. 2) Wheelchair passenger wanting to travel to station where the lift was out of order. 3) Evacuation of train between stations.
I'd suggest you travel a bit beforehand so that you know the geography of the system and speak to a few PSAs - they're mostly a friendly bunch.

Wicked, thanks guys. Wasn't expecting a reply, well chuffed!
Tubeboy, I used to get the DLR to/from work and was made redundant, saw an add on a poster on the way home so applied... that was back in March, been waiting a fair while, hopefully will be worth it in the end! sercodocklandsjobs.com was where I applied.
Alholmes, Thank you, I know it probably sounds silly that I asked and it's pretty much what I was expecting but it's always good to know what is coming and be confident with a reply. I used to be cabin crew, so I think that'll work in my advantage, it's still a moving tin can, just closer to the ground!
Love trains/planes so fingers crossed I'll be working back in travel again! =)
