With the DL shut again this weekend, I had to take 5 trains to get from east to west London yesterday. On my return, the e/b Holborn platfform was very congested and there was queueing on the stairs and into the entrance tunnel. I reckon if this was weekday rush hour, staff would have shut the station for a little while to let it all clear. The cause was (I reckon) an extended wait for a train. A little bit dodgy for a few minutes.

I've witnessed this before... try getting the doors closed!
Kings Cross suffers severe crowding during the peaks, along with Victoria, Oxford Circus, all of which I have seen from ticket hall level... Its normally the case of funnelling everyone through one or two ticket gates and that lets a steady stream arrive on the platforms.
Just not nice when people push and shove to get down the stairs into the ticket halls...
