Happened to see a 1979 Met WTT on eBay last night, and the front cover had No. 2 section printed on it. I assume this referred to the Circle/Hammersmith & City section.

The Hammersmith & City line was branded as part of the Metropolitan up until 1990 (so very recently by Tube standards).

On the old forms we used to use to nominate which depot or line you wanted to work on, Met (1) was Neasden, Rickmansworth or Uxbridge and Met (2) was Baker St, Hammersmith or Barking.

Most definately No.1 section covered the original Metropolitan of 1863 and No.2 the extension lines out into the wilds.

Most definately No.1 section covered the original Metropolitan of 1863 and No.2 the extension lines out into the wilds. Ah.... <blows dust and cobwebs off the outer reaches of the library> This wasn't always the case... My 1906 Met WTTs have as the sections: No 1: Baker Street, Marylebone, Willesden Green, Harrow, Uxbridge, Chesham, Aylesbury, Brill, Verney Junction Etc. Etc. No. 2: Inner Circle, Hammersmith, Richmond and Kensington lines, GW Main Line passenger trains to and from Aldgate, and GW Goods to and from Smithfield. No 3 was the GN&C and No 4 was the CWL. No 1 and No 2 sections swapped when the New series of Met WTTs started in the 1920s - which is actually the series still in use.

I'm amazed that somebody's got 1906 WTT's. I'm very impressed. I guess there's way too many pages to upload even just the No. 1 anywhere. I doubt I'll ever see it on eBay, but which was the last District Line WTT to include the South Acton-Hounslow Barracks section of line?
