Are all Met drivers trained to operate limited stop services or is there are a special pool of drivers for these services? If a driver happens to miss a station he/she is supposed to serve, how much trouble does he/she get into?

Are all Met drivers trained to operate limited stop services or is there are a special pool of drivers for these services? All drivers are trained for all routes on their respective lines. The sole exception is the District line where east end crews are not trained on C stocks and thus are not trained on the High Street Kensington to Edgware Road section. If a driver happens to miss a station he/she is supposed to serve, how much trouble does he/she get into? Could depend on the circumstances and who the manager is dealing with the incident, but technically it is a disciplinary matter and would most likely lead to a training intervention.

There are still a couple of Met drivers who would have you believe they are from a select pool ;D If a driver happens to miss a station he/she is supposed to serve, how much trouble does he/she get into? As Colin said, it depends on the circumstances. Weekends like the one just gone spring to mind - with additional (out of the ordinary) stops at Willesden Green. How hard do you come down on a driver who misses the stop, inconveniences just 1 person, and otherwise has driven safely and obeyed all signalling. We are all human after all, and a drivers cab is a classic area where you could easily fall into auto-pilot mode. Each case is dealt with individually, using fairness and consistency. (I'm not saying it happened this weekend or ever, but am simply using this as an example.)
