It is 13:30 as I write this and todays TBTC trial ops is going rather well! Not wishing to jinx things but the system is holding up well with 11 trains in "ghost" service. This might actually work you know!!

If it's a "ghost" service, isn't it more spooky than scary

Last week, a certain controller wanted us to lamp out the trains! Remember, they are test trains with no passengers on board. The order was quickly withdrawn, although judging by the telephone, not everyone was happy!
Am night shift tonight, and thanks to staff shortages, I may well be manning the platforms to operate the PEDS if a train has trouble. A mug of Coffee and a book I shall bring as the PEDS behaved perfectly last week.

If there are still trains running right now they certainly aren't showing on the departure boards - I assume the website is not set up for the SelTrac system yet, for obvious reasons... Just one stationary train apparently left westminster northbound.

One train decided to die on our WB platform on Sunday evening. Accompanied with smells of burning rubber and not the usual smell of brakes. It was jolly good. *thumbs up* We're still having the problem whereby if the train loses its Accurate Stop resulting in the PCC to be operated, the Ready to Depart Indicator doesn't illuminate, meaning that the driver cannot manually operate the PEDs themselves in the event of door irregularities as having to take their key out means they lose the Train Operators display – which in turn means they don't know when to shut the doors because they can't see anything else related to a target speed or destination because the RTDI isn't working and we've got no signals! Station staff to the rescue!
