If you want real measurements, it was 52 feet 4 inches for a DM, and 51 feet 3 inches for NDM and car. I haven't got a clue about metric measurements, one of my better knowledgeable colleagues will be along shortly.
Platform height I can only assume is the same as current DLL stations, though they do vary from line to line, however the 38ts worked virtually the lot of them at one time or another.
Bit vague I know, but it's a start for you.

Platform heights would have varied. 38ts worked on some lines that also saw surface stock trains operate. The best way to judge it is to guesstimate it by using pictures of 38ts next to platforms. It is not an exact science thankfully.
I would presume that you are using a Tenshodo bogie to power the 38ts. I would recommend the Metromodels kit for modifying the trailing bogies. They are free-running and easy to use. The original EFE arrangement is an abomination that only lets the trailing wheels slide along!
I made my first attempt at building a model railway just after I left school at 16. 32 years later I am still waiting to build my second one! Good luck with your project and keep us up to date with progress.

Bingo! A quick Google shows this picture: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/1938_501-at-Harlesden.jpgDescription: Northbound 1938 stock tube train heading for Harrow and Wealdstone calls at Harlesden station on the section of the Watford DC service which saw mainline and London Underground (Bakerloo Line) trains sharing the same tracks.Note on the picture that the cars fit the platform. Might need a bit more digging to find the dimensions of the platforms though, and I'm running out of time tonight.

I am yet to buy the 38ts, gotta wait for a cheque to clear. Not going to buy a motor bogie quite yet, little tight on dosh but will be an upgrade sometime in the future.
Is there much difference between yanking that silly clip inside the EFE bogie and getting the metromodels kit?

Moving that clip in the EFE trailing bogie allows the wheels to roll but not that well. The awful EFE wheels don't help. The Metromodels kit includes new wheels and they run on pinpoint bearings that roll forever. With a two-car set you will definately only need one power bogie with the Metromodels trailing bogies.

Alright, I guess I'll have to buy some of the trailing bogie sets then.

Charlie J, I am down your way this weekend with a layout at the Wilmington model railway exhibition. If you are attending pop over and say hello! My layout is 'Skelthorpe Lower' not LT I'm afraid.
