Highgate, from Priory Gardens.
Not sure where the inset is, but it looks like a synagogue to me

I'd hazard a strong guess that the inset is a Russian Orthodox church, as denoted by the Russian word for 'church' and the chi-rho motif on the side of the building.
Precise location unknown - there are quite a lot of them!

Well it is a Church in Russia, photographed by Dmitri. It isn't a Russian Orthodox church though. I'm told the name of the church translates as "Ark".
I've got no idea how helpful or not that is though!
It wont surprise you to learn that I chose it as the inset for this picture purely on the basis of shape!
