I was just wondering what work they are doing around loughton station? Because i haven't seen much change for all its worth. Also, if a driver is reading this, why do you beep (or whistle, i'm not sure i'm still new to this) when you pass the west side of loughton station (i don't know about the other side)? Also, if anyone who is doing this engineering work is reading this, please stop being so inconsiderate, look at the time stame this was posted and someone's van or car in the work area just beeped! And there's no need to shout!

Sorry, its actually 1:56am. The timing is an hour behind actual times on here. Bit strange but ok.

I can only answer your second post..... The time on this forum is correct - in your own profile, make sure you have your DST option set to 'yes'. There is a tutorial which explains it all - found by clicking here

On your “whistle” question it’s mostly because of the sidings W of LOU. We sound the whistle when we enter, move in or are leaving sidings and depots as a safety requirement as there could be people working there; train maintainers, cleaners and security. If the train whistles and it isn’t going into the sidings then there is someone walking trackside but that can happen anywhere.
