have a look at this you tube video and the user profile www.youtube.com/user/MultiCARTOON#p/uThese "videos" have been cropping up on you tube for over a year now and thier all on the same theme - thier just photo montages often set to appalling music. and I think some of you like Chris W will reconise your photos within the videos. Im just intreged to know who this MULTICARTOON person is, just looking at the profile shows how hes thinks that Upminster depot is a museum! and he claims that the A, C, and D stock are "mating" to produce the S stock! I've heard it all now!

I think some of my images may be in there somewhere but they're clearly a fan of Chris W's going by all the images they have blatantly ripped off him. Let's hope it ain't a member from here.....

i was just looking at some of his videos and I've noticed some were ripped off from Flickr (21146 and some other memebers) and some of Seth's ones as well
i've noticed he put this in one of the videos ' This is not a Copyright its my Own."

I watched the YouTube video that was posted and read the profile. Some of the wording makes it seem like it is a youngster. Maybe they don't appreciate that you just can't claim others' works as your own. Someone will hopefully set them straight.
At least they appear positive. Oh, and by the way - good photos by all you who really deserve the credit for them!

Thanks Daniel for the heads up (it was SE13 who pointed me in this direction) I've viewed a couple of the YouTube montages. As these have been made with a combination of almost over enthusiasm and youthful exuberance, I don't take the view that the creator intensionally meant any harm. As Kentucky Tom has suggested, they clearly do not have an appreciation about such things as copyright belonging to the photographer or creator/owner of logos. I'm therefore not going to get out of my pram, so to speak over what I have seen. Whilst its rewarding to know that others enjoy your photography, photographers such as myself would like to be approached by anyone wishing to use their images (many Fotopic users invite viewers to leave messages)... if fact this goes for use of electronic logos too. Others, particularly companies, take unauthorised use of the copyright material very seriously and often take legal action... so be warned!! What I've seen is very repetitive (same images appearing in different montages), albeit relatively harmless. However I find references to D and C stocks mating to make baby S-stock trains bizarre to say the very least.

I notice a number of the images are mine and solidbonds and have obviously been ripped off from my web site. I suppose it's a form of flattery but I'm not impressed - all my stuff is clearly noted as copyright. I hope LU see that the Underground logo is also being used - perhaps their lawyers will tak steps !

Hmm. Young, possibly foreign by the broken english?
Perhaps a simple nudge to recognise the proper authors might be in order? As pointed out if imitation is a form of flattery, then surely they would be mortified to receive such a message from someone whos work they admire?

www.youtube.com/user/MultiCARTOON#p/u/5/F48-4Co1V_EOh, c'mon, this is hilarious. *Farthers* and Mothers make *dozons* of tube babies. Love it! And yes, spot on about how ugly the S stock is, especially from the front. It looks like a big fly coming at ya. They even make the boxes-on-wheels D78 look half decent.........

Over excited young tube bredder no doubt. I've seen this chap about everywhere...even his comments are childish...
Nothing wrong with a fanboy I guess. Although that's pushing it at best.

I told him to stop using my pix (which he denied). I then specifically referred to S Stock photos. His reply? "Everybody goes to photo to search so SHUT YOUR MOUTH." Nice...

Yes, everyone does go online to search for photos, but the difference, is that if most people use work that is not their own, they acknowledge that they have used work that is not their own! This individual hasn't done that! If, as we all suspect this is a child or teenager, I hope they learn about copyright restrictions and plagiarism before they take any exams or do any coursework assignments!

I've seen a couple of vids on this person's channel just now. I must say that I literally cringed at how he made those 'mother' and 'father' references, he even put a few comments on some of my vids relating to this childish yet extremely insane theme of his. 21146, have you managed to report this to YouTube?

Do as we have had done to us at Vintage Roadscene in the past...contact Trading Standards where you are and complain. Ask them to write to all and sundry and threaten that proceedings will be taken...

The abusive response that 21146 has received puts a completely different spin on the issue and consequently changes my approach. I can prove that the images used are mine (have a copyright assigned to me across the image) and I have therefore put in a complaint to YouTube regarding some of the videos (those that contain my images). What disturbs me more however, is the fact that this character has uploaded one video that contains at the end an image of a bomb damaged train (London bombing of July 2005) with a speech bubble attributed to someone inside calling " AAAAAHHH AAAAAArrr Im dying Please help me. AH!" That I find utterly sick and depraved! The workings of a mind that deserves no respect or sympathy regardless of their age or maturity!

He has uploaded another one today - compare the title to the video content,
a lot more video content this time, but a pain to watch with the constant repatition of some shots and I don't think that Freddie Murcury really captures the mood of the Underground!

Its one thing if hes apologetic, but totally another is hes acting like that. Youtube does have a report button for copyright violation, and presumably the music he uses for backing wouldnt have any specific licence either. Perhaps it is now time to release the hounds?

I guess I'm big enough to live with a little plagiarism, if not I wouldn't post anything on the 'net. And even I didn't, should I bar myself from submitting photos to magazines in case someone scans an image and then uses it? He's still an offensive 'so-and-so' though.

It is a little disapointing to see certain peoples pic ripped but I guess we all expect it these days!
I don't like the fact the A stock is the father of the S stock!! That's certainly a result of a 'bad' night out!!
It is interesting to look at where trains come from (bar the obvious!).
I always thought the A60 stock was a result of the O/P and F stock!

Also you migth want to ask You tube if they are prepared to give you an address so that you can action the uploader directly... (3 strikes ... and you might get them cut-off <evil grin> )

AfalieThe Admins are thinking beyond that... he's using the Underground logo on ALL of his footage montages... does he have permission to do that I wonder. In particular as he's uploaded that offensive speech bubble on the image of a bomb damaged train

This is, unfortunately, a very similar reason as to why I created a youtube account. I had a flickr site (now defunct, hence why no link to it from my profile on here). A certain individual began ripping photos off of my site and posting them into photo montages on youtube. However, in my case, the user went one further, and "flooded" his own videos with text comments and video responses, describing my photos as either his , or describing them in language that cannot be repeated on here.

I've been searching around the YouTube page, and there's nowhere to report copyright issues that isn't my problem (sorry, no idea what the word is in English). Closest I can find is: # Privacy (Someone is using my image) # Trademark infringement (Someone is using my trademark) # Copyright infringement (Someone copied my creation) here: www.youtube.com/copyright_complaint_form?hl=en-GBHe (MultiCARTOON) also seem not to be able to see the difference between A and C stock trains

As per my early posts in this thread, initially I had no intention of complaining to YouTUBE regarding the use of my images. Although irritating not to have been asked, I had taken the view that any complaint from me would have been an over-reaction as I didn't perceive any significant misdemeanor or intent. It was the abusive response made by MultiCARTOON towards another member that caused me to reconsider, more so when I found an image of a bomb damaged train to have been so offensively modified. It became clear that this character has no appreciation or respect for others let alone those that sadly died in the bombing atrocities of July 2005. Due to the number of uploads I had to submit TWO unauthorised use forms online. I'm happy to report that YouTUBE have e-mailed me back twice (one for each submission) stating: " Thank you very much for your notification. The content has been removed." Thank you YouTUBE. One of my fellow Admins was silently less optimistic of any success, but it seems that they take such claims seriously. Message to MultiCARTOON/others that use images that do not belong to them - you will find that photographers are more often than not fair and may permit their images to be used for non-profit use. I ask that anyone who would like to use any of my images to make contact with me first, either via here or alternatively on any of my Fotopic sites - as many of my images were taken from railway land (for example in stations or on platforms) and not public land, they cannot be used for profit, be that by myself or by others!
