Hello everybody, Did anybody watch the news (sorry, I can't remember what channel or News show it was, I just saw it on the TV, all I can remember was that it was on last night ;D) about a new Walk Line Tube Map which shows you more convenient routes other than the Tube between two stations? Here's the URL for more information - rodcorp.typepad.com/rodcorp/2003/10/london_tube_map.htmlWhilst on the subject, what is everybody’s favourite walking route other than the Tube? One of my personal favourites is Northwick Park (Met) to Kenton (Bakerloo), it's only short and it's quiet. Yours? Christopher.

It almost renders the DLR useless!

Whilst on the subject, what is everybody’s favourite walking route other than the Tube? Marylebone to Paddington. This is because EVERY time I return to the smoke the Bakerloo fails for some reason or other . It is a standing joke between my son and myself.

There are quite a few that aren't on there.
Hanger Lane to Park Royal is one I used to do when I lived in Northolt but worked in Acton.
Also Gunnersbury to Chiswick Park is a much shorter walk than getting on, going to Turnham Green and turning back.
As for the DLR comment - yes in some parts of the DLR the stations are close together so it's silly to get on it for one stop, but as soon as you think about going two stops or three stops (which most people do!) it is quite a lot quicker than walking!

I go to a little pub in South London and I get off at Wimbledon and walk to South Wimbledon where it is. Takes about 15 mins whereas by tube it takes forever (mind you take 93 bus if it's raining).

However, for some reason it takes you 30 mins to get back and you'd probably be singing 'show me the way to go home'. ;D

It almost renders the DLR useless! It may be a short journey on rails from Canary Wharf to West India Quay, but I'd sooner not get my feet soggy. Absolutely indebted to the Lancaster Gate --> Paddington cut through for making my last train home the other week...

Euston Square and Warren Street are misleadingly far apart on the Tube map as well, as to a lesser extent are St Paul's and Barbican.
