The 3 car unit off the Aldwych branch used Wood Green to reverse when it left the branch after the evening peak on its return to its home depot. Scheduled to take 15-20 minutes from what I can remember!

The 3-car train had to pull up to the far end of the siding and because it is on a slight curve, a repeater signal was provided for the outlet shunt signal PG10. Still there according to the present diagrams.

Still there according to the present diagrams. Yep, no reason for it not to be there! It was certainly there the last time I did work in the area in 2004. I think people sometimes forget that the the sidings are not only there for reversing passenger trains but also to route engineers trains. Many such trains would use Wood Green siding to reach the work sites west of Wood Green. Of course engineers trains can also be short.
