Why has the Hammersmith H+C Ticket Office closed until Autumn, last time i passed through i saw they had installed a new gateline.
What is it they are planning to do.

Is it something to do with preliminary work for the lengthening of platforms for S7 trains in the future?
If it is, then the existing ticket office will have to go and a new one established.

The new booking office is built built on the site of the El Metro bar/ restaurant.
Although for how long the ticket office windows will be open is another story.

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

The ticket office is indeed moving to the site of the old El Metro. In addition the existing train crew accomodation has now, I am reliably informed (I haven't been there recently), closed and has been relocated. The platforms will be extended (platform 3 in particular).

In the sense of how many hours per day, or how many months/years before the ticket office is destaffed? Although as a semi-regular user of both Hammersmiths it wouldn't be the worst option to destaff the H&C station if it meant another station on the network without an adjacent alternative could keep its staff.
