Yeah, the shuttle platform was demolished in mid 2008 I believe, possibly as part of the Ryde Interchange fiasco... My own pic is here taken in March '09

I don't think there are enough operational units to run a Pier head shuttle if they wanted to though, the diamond crossosver at the pier head end WAS pencilled in for replacement at the same time as electrification but the island p-way lacked the equipment to get the new diamond up there... Legend has it that the replacement pointwork sat at Fratton for many years before being sold to the Bluebell & now takes pride of place at Sheffield Park!
