Since they installed the new 15MPH PSRs on the Rayners branch I read somewhere that, obviously, Piccadilly is to ignore these being for subsurface stock and, less obviously, that 78 stock going that way has to obey these PSRs and switch the air con off? I know the PSRs are for the low overbridges but why have to switch air-con off? Got me wondering... Thankyou to any suggestions/answers!

I suspect it is because the cab air conditioning static converter could interfere with the signalling equipment on the Rayners branch (or, rather, testing has not yet been carried out to see if it does). 1972 MkIIs have their auxiliary static converters isolated when operating outside the confines of the Bakerloo line for the same reason.
