I'd like to say a personal thank you to all members of this forum who, over the last year or so, have cajoled, persuaded, brow-beaten, brain-washed and even bullied me into getting a copy of this book! I'd like to..... ;D

Having spent the required time locked in a padded room reading this wonderful publication those who 'persuaded' me to part with my hard earned cash and thus delaying in feeding my children for a week will be glad to know the the book has spawned its first item of rolling stock. I have built an OO model of MET brake van No B552. I have also begun work on B554. Both have modified (in the case of B554, heavily modified) Ratio underframes with Bachmann 12mm split-spoke wheels on top of which is a body made from plasticard from the drawings in the book. After this I will attempt the riding vans for the Breakdown crane but, milk van aside, there are no drawings so I will be resorting to educated guesswork. I'll bring any completed items along to the next meet for your perusal just so that you know your badgering wasn't in vain.......
