As a newbie to this Forum with more than a passing interest in the Bakerloo and North London lines as I currently have an exhibition layout based on elements of the Croxley Green Branch and Depot croxleywiggenhallroaddepot.website.orange.co.uk/I am therefore always after more information and photos of the Croxley Branch and depot. Has anyone got any photos of any other LT stock besides 1938's at the Croxley Green Depot or any other photos of 501's, Oerlikons and LMS EMUs and 1938s on the branch or in the depot which have not already being published on the web? I've got a video of this area (I'm sorry, I can't remember its title as it's not to hand ATM) but I'll have a look at it when I can. It contains footage of 1972TS at Watford Junction although I don't recall if there are shots of them in the depot unlike the 1938TS which it definitely does. At least from that you'd be able to construct the correct models for your layout - which looks excellent by the way! ;D
I don't think the 1959/62TS ever made it to Watford as I remember reading on here somwhere that they were introduced after that section was withdrawn from the Bakerloo line.

Confirmed that 1959/62s never made it to Watford.

There are plenty of pics out there of the Croxley Green stores train which, in the sixties, was powered by a Standard stock DM at each end. There is also a clip of film of it on the Online Video dvd 'London Underground Remembered-Volume two' which features the films of Harry Luff. Worth every penny!

I wasn't sure which one's they were for - and I was more confident of spelling Siemens rather than Oerlikon ;D
There were certainly differences in the two stocks! I prefer the Oerlikons, much sleeker!
Nice layout, keep up the great work.

Do the destination blinds on the 38's read "Watford Junction" or "Watford LMR"?

I thought it was WATFORD (LMR) but I am sure that one of the old blind boxes I saw in the 1970s, such as Regents Park, had WATFORD (LMS) still!

Th 1938 destination plates were "WATFORD LMS" certainly in the 1950s and later became "WATFORD LMR".
The blinds on 1972 MkII displayed "WATFORD JUNCTION". The first type had narrow more upright lettering. I can't recall how Watford was displayed on the second type of blond though.
Deviating off-topic, 1938 DM 11284 (the original, which was damaged in a stops collision at Neasden south shunting neck) had for several years a destination plate from Pre-1938 Stock, having "ELEPHANT & CASTLE" on one line!
