There is a problem with coonections from easynet and it's rebranded services which won't let you directly access this board, instead just enter districtdave.proboards.com:8080 into your browser and you will still be able to get onto here

If they can't get on, how will they see this message?

I had trouble accessing here until I saw this solution on the Proboards support forums. I initially thought that there were server issues, hence me going there to check. Funny thing is it was working fine for a little while after the initial problems and now isn't again.
I wonder how long it will take to get it sorted?

Until a while ago (a year?), although the address "districtdave.proboards39.com" had been replaced by just "districtdave.proboards.com" most browsers would still accept either (allowing you to keep your bookmarks etc.). Gradually this option disappeared and you had to reset things to the new address.
I'm not sure when each browser combination changed (it was definitely different between the browsers I regularly use) but it's just possible the problems stated in the OP are connected with this.
I firmly recommend any members who have not switched to the current address to do so anyway..............

Mine is still bookmarked with the 39 in the address, I've never changed it from the day I bought this computer, and it obviously works

Fortunately I had the idea of looking at the proboards support site and found the :8080 fix and now I can get back on - phew!

In view of the warnings, I have altered to the new address, this should "future proof" my bookmark.

But a search engine would always find the forum! Bookmarking websites is handy and convenient but can be a double edged sword, it is certainly a bad idea for some things such as online banking.
Every so often I like to clear all the caches in my systems and start afresh, no cookies, no bookmarks, no history etc as relying upon them can cause certain kinds of havoc and prevent proper navigation, a real problem when for instance using browsers to program devices via http!

I'm playing catch up after a long weekend away......the access issue for those whose ISP is sky, easynet or ukonline has now been resolved.
The issue was never a Proboards fault.
The problem arose because Proboards were added to a ban list by UK authorities in error - sky, easynet & ukonline were simply following their protocols. The error has now been corrected and the relevant ISP's have now of course acted accordingly.
