Deffo somewhere on the Met, my bet would be for either Rayners Lane or Amersham.

Ah, now I'm sure there was a thread a while ago with all this in.
I'll have a dig around and see if I can find it, unless one of the better "thread finders" beats me to it.

On the wider issue of resignalling the SSR, the contract was being re-let.
Others closer to it will know more, but I'm not so sure that process has even started yet - so we are still a long long way off from cabin closures.

Deffo somewhere on the Met, my bet would be for either Rayners Lane or Amersham. In terms of simple transfer of control, then Rayners is very likely, having been already sizeably prepared for remote operation in the past. In terms of politics and in an attempt to avoid history (i.e. being left til last and never getting done) Amersham is a favourite. And we all know what tends to drive things these days... the re-tendering for the signalling is not due to complete untill early next year but with all the problems on the met line in the last few weeks i dont see westinghouse getting the contract back Oh I see that you must have joined the job quite recently. Yes of course we never go down the road of giving more money to companies who have failed us in the past.

I thought I read somewhere that there was to be a temp control at Neasden which would have took over from Amersham, Rickmansworth and Rayners Lane cabins?

There was such a plan under the previous contract but it has fallen by the wayside. We will have to wait and see what happens with the new contract before we have any real idea what order signal cabins are going to close in.
