Hi all.
Two things today..
1) Was on a train from Southfields to Earl's Court and at West Brompton, the driver made a PA saying that even though the train describer on the platform was saying 'Edgware Road', our train was for Upminster. Then, he said something about how our train was supposed to be behind the Edgware Road train that was actually behind us, and some trains in the morning had something 'hit' and something to do with children and also that there were in fact delays on the District. This was at around midday today. Could someone say what actually happened because I could not really make out exactly what he said.
2) While I was on a D stock from Earl's Court to Southfields, it had some problem leaving EC, WB, FB and PG. This will probably be an awful description, but as the train started, it stopped, but then started again, and this repeated 4 times at the above stations. Driver made a PA at Parsons Green saying 'we are trying to rectify the problem' The problem did not occur while departing Putney Bridge, East Putney and Southfields. When I got off at Southfields, I did see a man in a Metronet jumper leave the cab of the train.
I just wanted know if anyone knows what happens to cause this and what was it on this occasion? If it helps, the number of the first car was 7116.
Many thanks, Uzair

Problem 2 smells like a pilot light loss, possibly caused by a weak sensor or a loose/damaged/misaligned door.
Was the train crowded at the time?

No it was not particularly crowded.

I was thinking pilot light too. Was the train stalling when it just got up to any decent speed?
