Can anyone shed any light on the power supply problem between Harrow and Watford Junction on the DC lines. This has been going on since yesterday. Is the problem to do with power to the track or power to the signalling? I ask because the first signal north of Harrow, on the DC lines, has remained at danger for the last two days.
The replacement buses seemed to getting a bit lost last night around Harrow & Wealdstone.

All I can ascertain so far is that it was a major power cable problem north of Harrow, hence the Bakerloo were able to continue running.
The same situation applied this morning, with Euston trains terminating in the bay at Willesden (which is in the process of being lengthened for 4-car trains, but the work is far from complete and trains still stop at the normal position).
Going off at a tangent, when I left Willesden Junction up/SB at about 10.30 this morning, I caught a very brief glimpse of what seemed to be a class 313 in new Southern (or was it London Midland? - unlikely) livery in Willesden depot. Can anyone else help with this, as it was such a brief glimpse and I hadn't time to return to have a better look.

From Wikipedia: The first two 313s in Southern livery were released from Wolverton Works on 14/01/10 and are awaiting collection from Willesden TMD, their former base with Silverlink. These units, formerly 313104 and 313105 have been renumbered 313204 and 313205 to differentiate them from their previous configuration on LOROL.

The loss of traction was caused by the failure of a high voltage substation feeder in the Headstone Lane area, this initially affected the Bakerloo as well but after some switching the fault was isolated and this allowed the Bakerloo to resume. The failed cable was buried and took some locating before repairs could be undertaken.

I've just noticed that it has light green doors (all other trains in Southern livery have dark green doors). This means that there is less light green at the ends of the unit.

Well it's certainly an improvement on the dreadful Silverlink scheme which looked like a technicolour yawn to me. Who in god's name thought it up and were they on acid at the time? ;D
