The entire line will be closed on Sunday 18th April for S8 integration testing.

I think it's expected to be entry into service in May. Train2 is due very soon in London, with Train3 (the 1st in service) arriving March. Train 2 (21099) is the one that already is at Neasden. The one arriving soon will be train 1 (21001).

What does this mean then? Will the S8 need to be stored off site like the 95 stock needed to be when first introduced? We don't want any A stock replaced early!

Train 2 (21099) ..........train 1 (21001). I'm sure there's a simple explanation as to why Train 2 is not 21002, but a search didn't find it. Can you explain?

I don't know, but maybe it's a de-icer (or have some other non-universal feature) so is numbered in that sequence...

21002 is also part of train 1 (train 1's formation is 21001-22001-23001-24001-24002-25002-22002-21002). prjb said that train 2 is 21099 because they needed a pre-production S stock without de-icing equipment, but I thought the first one of those would be 21057, so I'm not really sure why it is 21099.
