Will Poplar depot have to be rebuilt once all DLR lines are running 3-car trains? Only 5 of the sidings seem to be long enough for three units.

I don't think that Poplar depot will be "rebuilt" as such, but I have heard about some proposals to move some pointwork, which would create more tracks for 3-vehicle trains than there are now. No further details I'm afraid.

Surely it's not too difficult to uncouple the units each evening? And it'd save some much needed cash out of TfL's budget (unless for some reason Serco are forking out for it).
